Supplement Overview: RSP QuadraLean Fat Burner
This RSP Nutrition Quadralean Fatburner is a stimulant free weight loss supplement that claims to control appetite, mobilize fat stores, increase energy and accelerate metabolism.
We’ll check out all of the ingredients and do a full analysis on them to see whether these claims can be substantiated or if they’re just empty promises.
One thing of note is that this supplement is trying something new among the ocean of supplements that use very similar ingredients.
Most fat incinerators on the market use tried and true ingredients like Forskolin, Green Tea Extract, Cayenne Pepper Extract, Caffeine, and many others – while this one takes an entirely different route and presents its own and unique blend of components.
Let’s look at what they are!
Ingredient List Analysis:
At first glance, we can already see a couple of problems with the Quadralean Ingredients.
There’s one proprietary blend with three different Carnitine ingredients included at unknown quantities – and there’s also the inclusion of Raspberry Ketones.
Now, the proprietary blend isn’t much of a problem in this case, as they usually are, because it’s all Carnitine.
You just don’t know which variety you’re getting and at what quantity – but that’s not that important when it comes to Carnitine, as it’s a safe and virtually side effect free ingredient when consumed at proper doses by healthy adults.
The Raspberry Ketones, on the other hand, is a fad ingredient which is still quite under-researched and one that fails to provide any studies which show real and reliable results of any large significance.
The results that were procured from the few available studies were inconsistent, inconclusive, and mild at best – so including such an ingredient in a supplement isn’t a great choice.
Now let’s check out the main ingredients:
Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) – This ingredient is proven to help reduce body fat while preserving lean muscle mass. It also slightly improves metabolism and has a wide range of other benefits, not associated with weight management.
That said, the most promising studies on CLA and fat loss, like the one in American Journal of Clinical Nutrition were done with doses of around 3 grams per day, which means that the recommended dosage of one serving twice daily will only provide you with an under-dosed 1 gram per day.
That’s a shame, as it is really an efficient and wonderful ingredient when presented at a full and effective dose.
Garcinia Cambogia – Also known as Malabar Tamarind, it is a small fruit that’s an excellent source of Hydroxycitric Acids (HCA).
In rats, HCA inhibits an enzyme named Citric Acid Lysase which is required to synthesize fatty acids, reliably reducing the intake of food and lowering body weight.
That said, studies done on humans pretty much fail to replicate any similar results of any great significance due to differences in body composition and chemistry, which makes this ingredient unreliable and almost completely ineffective.
Carnitine Blend (Acetyl-L-Carnitine, Propionyl-L-Carnitine, Carnitine-L-Tartrate):
First of all, Carnitine is a great ingredient that’s proven to increase energy while burning fat, as it is critical in the body’s process of oxidizing fat for fuel.
Your body can convert the amino acid L-carnitine to Propionyl-L-carnitine and Acetyl-L-carnitine, while the Tartrate form is the normal supplement form of Carnitine. All three are chemically related but provide some distinct benefits:
Acetyl-L-Carnitine (ALCAR) has the benefit of cognitive enhancement.
Carnitine L-Tartrate (LCLT) provides better physical performance and larger power output.
Glycine Propionyl-L-Carnitine (GPLC) is used to treat various disorders and alleviate intermittent claudication (muscle pain), and several issues with blood flow.
One thing of note – there is no research that shows whether the benefits of different carnitines are interchangeable – so the substitution of one form for another is generally not recommended.
The recommended dosage for L-Carnitine is around 500 to 2000 mg per day, which means that you’ll only be getting 1 gram daily. That’s great, but could still be better.
And that pretty much covers everything.
However, if you’re tired of supplements including proprietary blends, like most serious athletes are – we recommend a fully 100% transparent fatburner instead, like Transparent Labs Fat Burner, which provides you with huge and efficient doses that are proven to work.
Supplement Features: The PROs and CONs of It
So we’re taken a gander at the ingredients – now let’s look at all the other facts of Quadralean by RSP Nutrition:
- Stimulant Free
- Good Appetite Suppressant
- No Jitters
The price is great and very affordable when it comes to a fat burner supplement.
It’s also completely stimulant-free.
Many user reviews also praise it as an effective appetite suppressant that helps you with self-control between your meals.
- Weak energy boost
- Weak and unreliable overall effect
- Some unnecessary ingredients
The overall effect is unfortunately quite weak, as reported by a significant number of users of this product.
It also contains Raspberry Ketones and Garcinia Cambogia – two bogus ingredients of little significance and effectiveness.
Our Evaluation of QuadraLean Fat Burner by RSP Nutrition
Safe to say we’re very disappointed with this supplement.
While the new approach is commendable, including two inefficient ingredients and under-dosing the main ones is a recipe for mediocrity and failure.
That said, it’s still one of the best appetite-suppressants out there and does provide a mild fat burning effect, which is still a very good thing.
It’s also a real stimulant-free alternative in a market where the vast majority of fat torchers still heavily rely on multiple stimulants like Caffeine, Synephrine, Green Tea, etc.!
Although, if you want something more traditional and arguably much more effective and reliable, we recommend that you check out Thermakor by Kor Nutrition Review instead. It’s so powerful that it’ll blow your socks off!
While a decent choice for beginners and those who want to experience a completely stimulant-free fat loss supplement – it falls short of greatness by a large margin.
This RSP Nutrition Quadralean Review was based on a careful ingredient analysis, and they just weren’t up to snuff, unfortunately.
So we can safely recommend other more effective products, of even natural foods that help you burn fat, which you can find at 17 Powerful Fat Burning Foods That Will Improve Your Body.
