This Evlution Nutrition Stacked Protein review is going to focus on a protein powder supplement made by a relatively new manufacturer, called Evlution Nutrition, who has been around since 2013.
They have yet to prove themselves with a superior product that would rock the industry, but some of their selection, including BCAA and Fat Burner Supplements, are quite good, making our top 10 lists.
We’re going to see whether their protein powder is also a good product, or if it’s just a waste of space.
Spoiler alert! Evlution Nutrition protein powder DOES make our top 10 list, which you can find at Best Protein Powder Supplements for Men and at women’s list Best Protein Powder Supplements for Women – so it’s not a bad product by any means.
So let’s take a look at what makes it tick!
Supplement Overview: Evlution Nutrition Stacked Protein
Evlution Nutrition Stacked Protein supplement incorporates a Protein Blend which includes Whey Concentrate, Isolate, and Hydrolysate, as well as Micellar Casein and Egg White Protein.
It is for people who want slow, medium and fast release sources of protein to make their protein shake exceedingly versatile.
It is low in fat and has no amino spiking – all protein comes from complete dairy and egg sources.
That’s perfect for combining it with various other supplements. Most notably, it would make a huge difference if you used it with the best test boosters, the best creatine for men supplements as well as the best BCAA products. You can even add the best mass gainers to it if you feel like you want an extra protein and calorie kick!
Ingredient List Analysis
It’s not very clear if you read the ingredient list, but this sports nutrition protein supplement contains 5 grams of BCAA, 5 grams of Glutamine and 2.6 grams of Leucine in one serving.
The Protein Blend contains Whey Concentrate, Isolate, and Hydrolysate, as well as Egg White Protein and Micellar Casein.
You can find out extensive information about what all of the different types of Whey are at Whey Protein Supplements Guide: Facts, Benefits, Features.
You can also find the differences between Egg White Proteins and Micellar Casein in our guide on various proteins, at Protein Powder Guide: Info, Uses and Side Effects.
That said, this blend makes the protein powder supplement extremely versatile and ideal for any time of day as well as any training goal that involves the supplementation of this vital building macronutrient.
You can take it just before training, during or even right after it, to help fuel your muscles, improve the recovery process and promote lean muscle mass.
You can also take it right after waking up or just before going to bed – which is perfect for weight-loss and muscle recovery goals – as all of the muscle-building happens while you’re sleeping.
Additionally, this protein shake by Evlution Nutrition also contains an Enzyme Blend, which has Aminogen and Lactase.
They help ease digestion, and Aminogen specifically contains proteases that help break down ingested proteins into individual amino acids – making the whole absorption process much faster and easier.
Finally, the addition of Glutamine is great, as it improves the general effectiveness of a protein supplement. But it and other ingredients make the protein-to-weight ratio quite low, at only 25 grams out of a 36-gram scoop.
Product Features: The PROs and CONs
- Fast, Medium and Slow Release Protein Sources
- Low Calories
- No Amino Spiking
- Contains Glutamine
- All-around supplement
The biggest upside is the amazing versatility of Evlution Nutrition Stacked Protein. It’s great for both beginners, professionals, and everything in-between.
- Very High Cholesterol
- Sub-Par Taste
- Low Protein-by-Weight Ratio (25g out of a 36g scoop)
- Relatively New Manufacturer
The manufacturer is relatively new, only in operation since 2013. That doesn’t mean their products are bad – it just means that they haven’t yet earned an iron-clad reputation as a truly great and completely trusted supplement manufacturer.
Other than that, the biggest downsides are the 25% daily value cholesterol dose and the taste.
A supplement that you take to increase your daily macronutrient intake shouldn’t provide you with that much cholesterol, especially when you’re still meant to have all of your other meals throughout the day.
Regarding the taste, a decent number of users reported that they hated it – that it was just too sweet.
Our Evaluation of Stacked Protein by Evlution Nutrition
It’s a good supplement, but not great.
While being extremely versatile and providing you with an Enzyme Blend along with Glutamine is great – the several downsides, especially the large cholesterol dose, are making it into a tough sell.
That said, our experience with the supplement was great, and we didn’t experience any problems with it – it did just as well as can be expected.
But even with all that, there are better alternatives on the market and at the same price, for example, the tried and true Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey – which offers a bit more and comes from one of the most trusted and respected supplement sources in the industry.
And here are some other great things that you can check out:
We think that the Protein powder supplement made by Evlution Nutrition needs a little bit of improvement, to make it truly great.
If the cholesterol content and the taste weren’t an issue – it would most certainly be much higher on our top 10 list.
But as of this moment, better alternatives like Catalyst Grass Fed Whey Protein and several others completely overtake it and dominate the top.
